What is our deposit and cancellation policy?

  • A temporary hold will be placed for your selected dates for a maximum of 14 days while waiting
    for your $300 deposit to arrive.
  • All balances are due 30 days prior to the retreat. If the balance is not received within 30 days of
    the retreat, your reservation may be canceled with no refund of the deposit.
  • Reservations cancelled more than 90 days in advance of the retreat are eligible for a full refund.
  • If it becomes necessary to cancel or to change dates once the final payment has been made,
    please notify us immediately. If we can rent your reserved dates, we will transfer your payments
    to another date.
  • If roads and schools are closed due to blizzard conditions, arrangements can be made. We want
    our guests to be safe and we want you to come back!
  • Changes are accepted by the sole discretion of Dragonfly Dreams
  • Payments are made to Dragonfly Dreams by check or money order. We apologize for any
    inconvenience, but we do not take credit cards at this time (but we are looking in to taking credit
    cards in the future). The Minnesota tax rate is 6.5%, plus 3% for Lake City Lodging tax.


Is Dragonfly Dreams just for quilters and scrapbookers?

  • Dragonfly Dreams was created with quilters and scrapbookers in mind.  However, the beautiful
    and spacious facility is a great place for artistic or crafting groups, business meetings,
    seminars, spiritual retreats, family reunions, showers, get away weekends.

What time is check-in and check-out?

  • For weekend rentals, you may arrive any time after 3:00 pm and check out time is 2:00 pm
            (an earlier arrival or later departure time can usually be accommodated if that is desired).
  • For weekday rentals, please ask as we want to accommodate your schedule.

What should I bring?

  • Leave your watch and worries at home.  Just bring your clothes, toiletries and crafting supplies.  
    All bedding and towels are provided.  As members of your group may have different temperature
    preferences, you may want to bring a light sweater or sweatshirt.
  • We supply dishes and silverware, and our kitchen is equipped with all the tools needed to
    prepare your meals, included are; microwave,dishwasher,stove,refrigerator, along with washer
    and dryer.

How much work space is there for each person to work?

  • Each person has a 30" x 60" table, complete with overhead task lighting and ergonomic
    adjustable office chairs.
